£40.00
sold out

Small group sessions (limited to 2 - 4 people).

Sessions are 2 ½ hours.

Sessions are £40 per person.

Sessions are taught by Elaine who welcomes you to her home studio.

Perfect for beginners or those wanting to connect in a gentle supportive setting.

Elaine will introduce you to the clay and guide you through hand building techniques step by step.

Sessions can be customised to suit your groups needs.

Contact Elaine to discuss availability.

Some examples are listed below: decorative hand-built mug, candle holder, herb stripper, or a wall sconce. Other options can be discussed, however the group will work toward the same outcome with the decorative element individualising the finished result.

There is process involved with clay where clay needs to dry thoroughly before being bisque fired ready to be glazed.

Elaine can provide various glazing options for you at an additional cost, or you could organise further sessions to learn the art of glazing.

Alternatively, you can take bisque items home to finish off with your own cold finish such as acrylic paint. (Note: cold finishes are not suitable for outdoors, nor suitable for functional items involving food or drinks, but can be a beautiful way of finishing a decorative item. You can use a sealant to prevent moisture ingress).
